<p>The lab-scale cylindrical torrefaction reactor available in the Department of Chemical and<br /> Process Engineering, University of Moratuwa can be used for lab-scale experiments and it<br /> consists of a cylindrical heating coil with a Stainless-Steel reactor, temperature controller, and<br /> inert gas feeding system. The weight loss of products will be recorded by varying the<br /> torrefaction temperature and residence time. The condensable fraction of the volatiles will be<br /> recovered, and analyzed for the possibility of dilute acid washing of biomass.</p>
